It takes away the illusion of competence."},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>The fear of losing one&#8217;s job very often comes up in conversations about artificial intelligence.<br\/>That AI will &#8220;replace humans.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p><p><br\/>That he will &#8220;take back the competition.&#8221;<br\/>That it will &#8220;put people out of business.&#8221;<\/p><p>This is a simplification.<br\/>AI does not eliminate work per se.<br\/>It eliminates something else &#8211; the illusion of competence, which for years was sufficient.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\">Apparent competence as a foundation for multiple roles<\/h2><p>In many areas of work it was previously enough:<br\/>&#8211; to repeat known patterns,<br\/>&#8211; to use specialized language,<br\/>&#8211; to have access to information,<br\/>&#8211; to hold a certain position in the hierarchy.<\/p><p>It was not always about real understanding.<br\/>Often the impression of competence was enough.<\/p><p>AI exposes this mechanism very quickly.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\">When access to knowledge is no longer an advantage<\/h2><p>Artificial intelligence democratizes access to:<br\/>&#8211; information,<br\/>&#8211; analysis,<br\/>&#8211; language,<br\/>&#8211; conceptual tools.<\/p><p>This means that knowledge alone ceases to be capital.<br\/>So does a mere title, position or experience without reflection.<\/p><p>Not because knowledge loses value.<br\/>But because it is becoming commonplace.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\">What&#8217;s really disappearing from the market<\/h2><p>AI does not eliminate people.<br\/>It eliminates roles based solely on:<br\/>&#8211; repetition,<br\/>&#8211; schema,<br\/>&#8211; lack of decision-making responsibility,<br\/>&#8211; hiding lack of understanding behind language.<\/p><p>It&#8217;s a painful process, because it touches professional identity.<br\/>But it&#8217;s not an unfair process.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\">What&#8217;s gaining traction<\/h2><p>In a world supported by AI, the importance of:<br\/>&#8211; critical thinking,<br\/>&#8211; understanding context,<br\/>&#8211; ability to ask the right questions,<br\/>&#8211; responsibility for decisions,<br\/>&#8211; combining knowledge with experience &#8211; is growing.<\/p><p>AI performs tasks very well.<br\/>However, it cannot take responsibility for making sense of them.<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading has-medium-font-size\">The work does not disappear.
